A fan-favourite and fiery centrepiece of the annual festival, the Jollof Rice Competition brings together culinary champions from across Africa in a friendly but fierce battle to claim the coveted title of BAAKO Festival Jollof Rice Cup Winner.
Open to caterers and individuals alike, this unique competition challenges participants to bring their best version of the beloved West African dish to the table. Whether you’re representing Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Liberia — or any other proud jollof nation — the stage is set for another unforgettable taste showdown.
